I will use mis-en-scene to attract audiences by trying to use a high culture look for my location and clothing but the main focus will be in a slouching and smug pose.
Though my mis-en-scene will not be directly related to Labrinth I will use this song to communicate the genre through visual cues such as putting the main character on elevated places when the lyric “I’m on top of the world” comes up.
I will be using mis-en-scene to communicate the narrative by making it clear where the character is in his financial position due to cheating, and i will do this by using both costume location and cover, for example, i will use dirty sweatpants and a stained t-shirt for the beginning of his career and a button-up, trench coat and designer suit pants when he is at the peak of his career before he gets arrested.
Finally, I will use mis-en-scene to communicate mood with lighting as for the beginning i will be using more of a white color to communicate semi-normal settings- and the final one i will be using yellow/golden light to communicate glamour and wealth much and try to mach the aesthetic of the great gatsby when Leonardo di Caprio raises a glass to the camera.
