Intertextuality Is a media text within another either as a reference or a prop from the movie or are their media title.

A good example would be Tainy, J. Balvin - Agua (Music From "Sponge On The Run" Movie) Where the whole music video Is based inside all of the SpongeBob universe and has constant references to SpongeBob in the music video and in the song itself.

Another good example is MORGENSHTERN - ARISTOCRAT (Official Video, 2021) Where MORGENSHTERN Betrays himself as Hamilton from the famous Burr and Hamilton duel. That referred to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical.

Artist and music video producers use this in order to create a sense of belonging for Their audience as they are in on the ”inside joke” this creates a strong sense of community and a personal link to the artist and their sense of humor or interest.

I'm going to use intertextuality in my music video on a very small scale and one that some might not understand as I'm going to tip my hat to words my previous media project which was about a Mafia leader from Russia
